THE ASSIGNMENT.

To assist the CEO with the recruitment of Chief Medical Officer. Our Client was launched in 2019 and, at the time we initiated the CMO Search, they were not funded. As of today, the company has raised $180M in 2 separate rounds of funding, the first being a $80M Series A Round and the most recent being a $100M Series B Round.

THE CHALLENGE.

We focused on identifying a proven Clinical Development Leader with recent Gene Therapy experience and someone who has interacted with Investors at an executive level - ideally, CLevel experience for a publicly traded biopharma company. Since our client is committed to being a part of the growing NYC Biopharma ecosystem, it was also important for this individual to be based in the NYC Metro area

THE OUTCOME.

We successfully identified a CMO that joined right before the Series A announcement, who also worked with the CEO during that process. The CMO previously held the same role at a Publicly-Traded Biotech company, where he oversaw clinical development in rare disease and gene therapy, including the approval of multiple drugs.
